MCT Community Theatre announces 2010-2011 season

MISSOULA, MT — MCT Community Theatre (MCT) announces their new season, including: The Producers; Irving Berlin’s White Christmas; The Mikado; One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and a season finale they affectionately titled East Broadway Rocks!

MCT is coming out of the box with its upcoming season. The tradition of 4 musicals and 1 straight show is still intact, but the shows themselves have been carefully chosen to indicate the diversity and maturity of MCT, its talent-base and, of course, its audience. MCT CEO Jim Caron, who will retire at the end of the season, explains, “We’re doing some different things, and hope you’ll approve. We’ve invited 3 guest directors to join Michael McGill and me as we stage our new season.”

From the eccentricities of backstage Broadway to the tragedies and triumphs of institutional life, MCT continues to strive for professional quality and subject matters to interest all facets of the community. The last show—East Broadway Rocks!—will be a Broadway revue, showcasing the phenomenal talent of Missoula teens. MCT celebrates their 40th anniversary this year and Caron says, “I can’t think of a better show to celebrate the culmination of 40 years working with kids.”

Season Series subscriptions ($46 to $90) and VIP subscriptions ($500 including catered receptions before each show) are available by phone at (406) 728-7529 or in person at 200 North Adams Street Monday through Friday from 9pm to 5pm. All performances are held at the MCT Center for the Performing Arts.
