In this new musical based on the popular novel and Disney movies, mom and daughter, Katherine and Ellie, both have strong opinions on how the other should live her life. In one magical moment, the frazzled mom and her rebellious teenage daughter switch bodies, and a chaotic comedy of errors ensues! However, a day in someone else’s shoes allows them to quickly discover a compassion for the other’s difficulties, dreams, and journey. Not only does a new level of mutual respect blossom, but they each acquire a newfound self-acceptance, and a fierce bond of family love emerges. Rated PG.

Your favorite colorful characters from the fantastical world of Dr. Seuss come endearingly to life in this musical extravaganza. Through the ubiquitous narration of the Cat in the Hat, we meet big-hearted Horton the Elephant. Horton’s faithfulness and loyalty lead him on epic adventures in egg-sitting and protecting a dust-sized Who world. He also befriends a disillusioned boy named Jojo, who, like him, feels “Alone in the Universe.” With dazzling music and lyrics by Tony-winning team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, you and your entire family will be transported and uplifted! Rated G.

It’s 1958. While Leo and Jack (down-on-their-luck actors) are touring Shakespeare scenes in rural Pennsylvania, they learn of a local old woman who died, leaving millions to her long-lost British relatives. They cook up a plan to impersonate “Max” and “Steve” in order to become rich, but then realize the relatives are actually “Maxine” and “Stephanie.” Undeterred by this fact, they soldier on with stockings, wigs, lipstick, and dresses, casting themselves as the heirs in this non-musical farce by Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor). In the tradition of Tootsie or Some Like It Hot, this kind of story sometimes invites outdated stereotyping and misguided laughs over men in dresses, but the humor in this farce is much too intelligent for those old ideas. Rated PG-13

A heart-warming musical featuring Percy, a young woman fresh out of prison, who dreams of a new start in the small town of Gilead, Wisconsin. She lands a job in the local diner, which is struggling to survive, much like herself. Percy’s unique idea to save the restaurant through an essay contest takes the town on a musical journey of renewal, self-discovery, and redemption. Americana folk music mixed with stories of heartache and hope, good coffee and a hot breakfast are all served up at The Spitfire Grill. Rated PG-13, mild adult themes.

Based on the 1988 children’s novel of the same name by Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Matilda’s precocious nature, brilliant mind, and gift of telekinesis, help her to overcome life’s obstacles. Only her gentle schoolteacher, Miss Honey, sees Matilda for the extraordinary little girl she is. Together they design a world where kindness, love, and the beauty of childhood are celebrated. High-energy music, dance, and Roald Dahl’s magic touch humorously illuminate the darkness in humanity and create a uniquely-delightful experience. Rated PG.
