Planned Giving

Leave your Legacy at MCT

There are several ways you can leave your legacy at MCT. Whether you choose to leave a planned gift in your will or set up a charitable gift annuity to benefit from the Montana Endowment Tax Credit, your decision to make a legacy gift to MCT will benefit theatre kids, tour participants, and patrons for years to come. Planned Gift

A planned gift to MCT is arranged between you and your family, your legal advisor, and your financial advisor. This is an outright planned gift of cash or other assets (including property, stocks, etc.) that are designated for MCT in your will. While not required, MCT appreciates being notified of these types of gifts as you are planning them, particularly when non-cash assets are involved.

Charitable Gift Annuity

This powerful giving option benefits you and MCT immediately. By creating a Charitable Gift Annuity that is designated MCT’s endowment, you benefit from the Montana Endowment Tax Credit (METC). This is a direct tax credit based on a percentage of the value of the planned gift. Individuals and businesses can take advantage of this tax credit through qualified planned or deferred gifts to endowments. MCT has partnered with the Montana Community Foundation to establish the MCT, Inc. Community Arts Endowment Fund. You can opens in a new windowlearn more about the benefits of the METC here.
