A comic strip by Charles Addams in the late 1930’s about a quirky family with ghoulish humor took on a life of its own in a 1960’s TV series. It eventually made its way to the Broadway stage as a musical comedy which received numerous Tony nominations and other accolades. Gomez and Morticia Addams’ family is the spookiest, kookiest family on the block. Uncle Fester is in love…with the moon. Daughter Wednesday torments her brother Pugsley (literally). When Wednesday falls in love with a bright and pleasant boy from a bright and pleasant family, she invites them to dinner to meet her most… unusual family, prompting Pugsley to plot his revenge. The plan goes awry, nearly tearing the two families apart (figuratively). The result is utter chaos and confusion during a thunderstorm, when hidden family secrets come to light—in the darkness (literally).

Inspired by a world-famous book series out of the UK, Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, introduces audiences to a different perspective of the wizarding world you know. A boy discovers he’s a wizard and becomes a student at a school of magic and mystery. However, this boy is named Wayne Hopkins, and he is sorted as a “Puff.” The Puffs are a group of students focused on NOT fighting evil and just making it through magic school. Surviving high school is tough enough, bullies and all; now, add wicked warlocks and creepy cronies on top of studying and worrying about who you’ll take to the dance! Describing this play is challenging due to contract requirements that the famous wizard school student known around the world NOT be mentioned by name…ever.

A chance meeting with Robert Kincaid, a National Geographic photographer, changes both of their lives forever. Based on the 1988 children’s novel of the same name by Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Matilda’s precocious nature, brilliant mind, and gift of telekinesis, help her to overcome life’s obstacles. Only her gentle schoolteacher, Miss Honey, sees Matilda for the extraordinary little girl she is. Together they design a world where kindness, love, and the beauty of childhood are celebrated, winning out over the cruel verbal and emotional abuse from some of the adults toward a few of the children. High energy music, dance, and Roald Dahl’s magic touch humorously illuminate the darkness in humanity and create a uniquely delightful experience.
