Performing Arts Classes

Performing Arts Classes at MCT are professionally produced and directed musical productions featuring your child! Students attend classes after school over the course of a few weeks and then perform at the MCT Center for the Performing Arts. 


FALL 2017

Fall classes have one cast per production. Classes are 4:00 PM-6:00 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. In the final week, class meets every day leading up to the performances.

The African savannah comes to life on the MCT stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle…and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

Grades 6-9*

*Grade level participation restriction set by Music Theatre International.

The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl’s fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone’s sweet tooth.

WINTER 2018

Winter class consists of two casts rehearsing the same production. Class times are 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. One cast rehearses Mondays and Wednesdays, and performs Saturday, February 17. The other cast rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays, and performs Sunday, February 18.

Who doesn’t want to meet the legendary strong man of the ancient world? Join us for this Herculean saga of the true meaning of friendship and strength. There’s plenty of action and even some mistaken identity to unravel in our tale. What wondrous creatures will Hercules encounter in this mythical, mystical world? You don’t want to miss this story about what makes a superhero “super” or how the word “hero” can apply to just about anyone! Or…apply to even you or me!
